A growing company
The story begins in 1936, when Mr. Alcide and Aimé Miron took over from their uncle Louis IV Major, then Mayor of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, in his lumber business.
At that time, the business consisted of a few piles of logs spread out in the backyard of the family residence and the delivery fleet was made up of two horses and a wagon!
Decades later, Matériaux Miron + is a large-scale company serving contractors with a sales floor, warehouses and a lumber yard totalling 350,000 square feet, in addition to an impressive delivery fleet. More than 60 experienced and passionate people work in the various locations of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, L’Île-Perrot, Vaudreuil-Dorion and Dorval to advise and offer high quality products from local manufacturers.
